Old chains, broken bracelets, rings you haven’t worn in years, jewellery from a past relationship and inherited pieces may be doing nothing in your jewellery box, but the gold still has value.
At your consultation, we’ll assess what you’ve brought and explain your options clearly. You may want to sell the gold, redesign a particular piece or use its value toward something new.
Depending on the pieces and the project, existing gold may be reusable in the new design or its value may help offset the cost of creating something new.
Bring your unwanted gold jewellery, broken pieces, old rings, chains, earrings and any stones or heirloom jewellery you’d like us to look at. If you’re not sure whether something is gold, bring it.
We’ll assess the pieces with you, discuss karat, weight, condition and possible uses, and talk about any stones or sentimental elements you’d like to preserve.
You can then decide whether you want to sell, redesign or apply the value of your jewellery toward a new custom piece. The consultation is about understanding your options before making that decision.

Absolutely. A broken clasp, bent ring or damaged chain can still have underlying value. Gold may be assessed based on factors such as karat and weight even when the jewellery is no longer wearable. Bring broken and intact pieces together.
In many cases, yes. The jewellery can be assessed and its value may help offset the cost of a custom project. Some existing gold may also be suitable for repurposing, depending on the material and design.
You do not need to commit to a custom project simply to discuss your gold. Bring the jewellery to a consultation and we’ll explain the options available to you.
Several factors matter, including purity or karat, weight, construction and current market conditions. We assess the jewellery in front of us rather than quoting a generic price for pieces we have not seen.
Sometimes, but not every piece should automatically be melted down. Different alloys, solder, wear and the new design can affect whether direct reuse is the best technical choice.
Bring diamonds, gemstones or other stones you would like to keep. Existing stones can often become the starting point for a new design, subject to inspection and suitability.
Not everything has to be sold or melted. A redesign may preserve a stone, engraving or another meaningful element while changing the jewellery around it.
